Hello and welcome to Miss Cavalier-king-poo, My Name is Donna and I am a home family based licensed breeder of Cavalier king Charles Spaniels and Cavapoos. We are located in a small town called Desborough in Northamptonshire.  I have gained a wealth of knowledge and understanding of dogs, puppies their welfare and upbringing. I have a level 2 in veterinary nursing assistants qualification, a level 3 in dog grooming, handling and care along with certificates in pregnancy scanning, whelping and puppy socialization. As well as breeding I also own and run a home based Dog Grooming salon based at the front of my house on my drive. All our dogs and puppies are used to the grooming experience.

Our dogs and puppies are all part of our family enjoying the homes comforts of living within our family home and around young children. Our dogs enjoy our extensive sized garden and often visit our local paddocks where they just love to run free with each other. Our puppies enjoy and learn from the company of our adult dogs.

Our puppies follow a routined program from birth through to leaving us this includes an isolated area away from our main busy parts of the house  where they are born into a specialized whelping pen which is heated  and for the first 4 weeks. This is an important time for bonding with their mother and for mum to feel secure with her newborns. They then move to the main part of our house into a larger puppy pen  to experience household noises our other dogs and handling with our children. This stage they are around 4 weeks old. This is also their weaning onto solid food stage and is an important stage for their socialization. At this stage puppies can start to receive their first visits from potential new homes.

From around 6 weeks old we start to introduce the garden and outdoor areas this is hugely weather permitted and we encourage a reward base toilet training. At this sage we try to promote and achieve confidence in the outside area with play and exploring their new world at a pace that doesn't intimidate and knock confidence in the new little learners. They are free to roam and explore both patio and grass and some even masters our steps before leaving. Toilet training is very much an ongoing training that needs to be continued in their new home, it is not something that can be learnt in a few weeks, however we do our best to get that journey started by gaining confidence in the garden and rewards for using the garden for their toilets.
